Welcome from the Governing Body
At St Peter’s C. E. Primary School, our Governing Body plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the school, supporting leadership, and ensuring every child receives the best possible education in a safe, nurturing environment.
We are a diverse group of volunteers - parents, staff, and members of the local community - who bring a wide range of skills and experiences to the table. Together, we work closely with the Headteacher, Emma Moss and senior leaders to uphold the school’s values, monitor performance, and ensure accountability.
What We Do
Our key responsibilities include:
- Setting the school’s vision, ethos, and strategic priorities
- Monitoring educational standards and pupil progress
- Supporting and challenging school leadership
- Overseeing the school’s budget and financial decisions
- Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety policies are robust and effective
We meet regularly throughout the year and visit the school to see learning in action, speak with staff and pupils, and celebrate achievements.
