Uniforms
At St Peter’s we aim to foster a sense of personal pride and school identity through wearing a school uniform.
The following items of school uniform can be bought from Abbey Street Shopping Centre or non branding items are available from any retail store.
- School purple and grey tartan dress/ skirt OR grey school type, skirt, dress, trousers or shorts
- Purple polo shirt, plain or embroidered with the school logo
- Purple jumper or purple cardigan.
- Plain Black School shoes (no high heels and NO TRAINERS).
- Grey socks, tights or leggings should be worn.
Jewellery
It is recommended that all jewellery, including earrings and studs should be avoided. This request applies to both boys and girls. Owing to a number of accidents in Lancashire schools, the wearing of studs and earrings is forbidden in school especially during Physical Education and Swimming Instruction. The school would appreciate parental support on this issue.
Sportswear
For physical education it is important that children change into appropriate clothing;
- Black Shorts, jogging pants and a plain white T-shirt and optional purple hoodie and trainers.
- A swimming costume, trunks and a swimming hat for year groups participating in swimming.
To avoid confusion, all items of clothing brought into school should be clearly marked with the child’s name. This should be brought into school in a draw up type bag (pump bag) which can be hung on their peg.
